Swimming with Wild Spotted Dolphin in Bimini, Bahamas

Evening star gazing… August 11, 2010

It’s time to lay the blanket on a nice comfy spot on the beach Thursday or Friday evening if you can.  You’ll want to be gazing at the heavens between midnight and dawn to watch the Perseids Meteor showers!  If you’re in a dark enough area, you may see 60 meteors an hour!  These are not stars but meteor dust and fine particles that are blazing through the skies.

For more information, you can follow this link:  http://earthsky.org/astronomy-essentials/earthskys-meteor-shower-guide

Have fun and let me know how many you counted!!

Messages from “The Secret”… August 10, 2010

I read this and wanted to share with you:

A Secret Scrolls message from Rhonda Byrne
Creator of The Secret

From The Secret Daily Teachings

When you ask for happiness and a beautiful life, ask not just for you, but for everyone. When you ask for something better, ask not just for you, but for everyone. By all means ask for abundance and health for you, but also ask for it to be given to everyone.

Can you imagine what would happen if over six billion people asked for these things for you?

Wow!

I read this in the Unity Daily Word and wanted to share this…

Gratefulness

I am grateful for simply being.

Counting my blessings is a thoughtful practice, which helps me maintain an attitude of gratitude. It is good, though, to move beyond gratitude for people, places and things, to gratefulness for existence itself.

Going within, I begin by appreciating this moment of peace. Then I become grateful for simply being. This shift in consciousness allows me to fully experience my oneness with the divine Presence, oneness with all that is. The peace I feel is expansive. My gratitude opens wide the realization that I am more than my body, my personality, my experiences–I am an expression of the Divine. I’ve been given this moment in time to exist in this world, to love and to serve, to follow my bliss. And for this, I am truly grateful.

Just Imagine the Dolphins… August 4, 2010

I am not in Bimini but I can close my eyes, shut out the world around me and just imagine that I am at the bow of the boat.  I am lying on my belly looking down into the rushing water as the boat move across a glass-like ocean.  Below me are three beautiful atlantic spotted dolphins enjoying a bow ride!  Two are juveniles with only a few spots on them but the third has a granite-like appearance with spots covering its entire body.  Every few minutes their heads surface and their blow holes quickly open and shut for a breath of air.  “Poof” as they exhale and submerge again.  Two of them manuever some acrobatics as they glide back and forth underneath one another to change places from the left of the bow to the right and back again.  A few times they roll onto their side and look up at me.  We lock eyes on each other.  I have a wide smile on my face that mimics the smile on the dolphin.  Does he know how joy filled I am right now?!  I whistle and clap with excitement!  They come up for air again and change places again.  One rolls over on its side again, looking up at me.  This time I notice that her belly is pink!  She’s as excited and joy filled as me!  The ride continues and another dolphin joins the three to make four.   Wait, one more joins to make five!  Oh, it’s a little baby!  Look at him go!  Now they are all swimming back and forth, left to right, enjoying the ride and looking upwards every so often.  “When are you coming in to join us, Fiona?!  Come in and play with us!”

And so begins another joy filled day on the ocean with the wild dolphins…
