Swimming with Wild Spotted Dolphin in Bimini, Bahamas

Evening star gazing… August 11, 2010

It’s time to lay the blanket on a nice comfy spot on the beach Thursday or Friday evening if you can.  You’ll want to be gazing at the heavens between midnight and dawn to watch the Perseids Meteor showers!  If you’re in a dark enough area, you may see 60 meteors an hour!  These are not stars but meteor dust and fine particles that are blazing through the skies.

For more information, you can follow this link:  http://earthsky.org/astronomy-essentials/earthskys-meteor-shower-guide

Have fun and let me know how many you counted!!
